Step 1 : Get Motivated

From the offset we need to draw our attention to feeling motivated. At times when we feel in fear, we can feel so overwhelmed that we are frozen from actually doing the important things that will increase our visibility and sales in our business.

To increase your motivation stay connected with your goal, if we have no motivation to do something we wont. For example…If you think of the personal goal of getting fit, when we have the motivation of a holiday, or special event to aim for the result we desire it’s far easier to stay focused. So even when life feels difficult, if we can keep our business goals top of mind we will be motivated to push on, even when it feels difficult.

So check in, how are you boosting your motivation to keep showing up for your business? ⠀

I thought I would share what’s helped me to increase my motivation and hopefully it will help you too.
⠀
6 Tips To To Keep You Motivated To Show Up In Your Coaching Business
- Get out for a short walk in nature⠀

– Do some deep breathing and movement like Tai Chi⠀
– Listen to a motivational video like this motivational video here by Jim Carrey
– Put on some hi-vibe music ⠀
– Repeat a positive mantra⠀
– Print out this positive mantra to remind you of your goals download a free PDF here  For over 20 years I’ve had positive affirmations and mantras around me, and it really helps. I have also printed this one out and have it next to my work space.

Step 2 – Reduce Any Overwhelm

The next step is to drop what you don’t need. Overwhelm is something we are all feeling right now, and I believe it’s important to work around that, to get away from the cloudiness and in a place of panic, to be able to focus clearly and take action.

How many things have you taken on that you don’t need to do, you’ve over committed, signed up for and now it’s information overload!⠀
⠀
Are these things that would fit into the business plan/ goals of yours before the situation we are in now? ⠀
⠀
I know I’m guilty of saying yes, over committing and then feel panicked and overwhelmed, leading to feeling frozen on what to do first. ⠀
⠀
I find at times like these it helps to reduce down the overwhelm. ⠀

My go to is always to get it all out on paper, I write out everything in my mind that I feel like needs doing, and then choose my priorities from that. That one thing helps everything to feel more manageable. ⠀
⠀
Can you recognise anything you have signed up for, or have taken on that you probably don’t need to be doing right now? If it’s not serving you and filling your cup, I could be time to consider dropping it for now to pick up again at another date.

Step 3 : The Power Of Pivoting

When I spoke to my husband about pivoting, he was confused and asked what exactly does it meant to pivot your business.

Pivoting is probably better described as adapting.

It’s about recognising where your ideal clients are at, and how you can best serve them right now today. In this instance. It’s not seeking out a new ideal clients, or a new business model, but adjusting and pivoting slightly to best serve your clients right now.

It helps to be open minded and choosing to have a blank canvas in regards to your business.

When you choose to imagine you have a blank canvas and focus on one element of your coaching business, instead of trying to do a whole to-do list of things, everything can start to feel clearer ⠀
⠀
And when you choose, in a time when we have no choice, choosing becomes an empowering feeling of accomplishment, which drives momentum and flow. ⠀
⠀
Which feels great.

I believe the time is now, and you too can adapt and shine.
